Held each summer in recognition of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, traditionally celebrated June 24, the St. John the Baptist Summer Challenge is an annual walk-and-run fundraiser supporting the charitable work of St. John’s Fund.

Participants register for the challenge and have 30 days to complete a set number of miles by walking, running, or a combination of both. Miles can be completed anywhere and logged throughout the event. Participants who reach the challenge goal receive an annual St. John’s Finisher Shirt.

Inspired by St. John the Baptist’s example of service, humility, sacrifice, and preparing the way for others, the event brings people together to improve themselves while helping their neighbors.

Registration proceeds support the programs and charitable projects of St. John’s Fund.

Held during the Christmas season in honor of St. John the Evangelist, whose Western feast is celebrated on December 27, the Winter Project is St. John’s Fund’s annual season of giving and direct community assistance.

Inspired by St. John’s message of love, fellowship, and care for one another, the project partners with local schools and community organizations to identify needs that may otherwise go unmet during the Christmas season.

Rather than focusing solely on toys, the project can provide clothing, coats, shoes, hygiene necessities, food assistance, gift cards, school needs, and Christmas gifts according to what local families actually need.

The Winter Project puts the Fund’s founding principles into action by bringing neighbors together to care for neighbors and ensuring that the generosity of the Christmas season reaches those who need it most.
